A 62-year-old pensioner seeking to cure his impotency was cheated out of RM14,000 ringgit by a medicine man, reports said today.
The pensioner, known only as Chan, met the quack doctor last month at a local market who claimed he could cure him, The Star said.
Chan went through a series of unorthodox treatments, including infrared heat and suctions on his genitals which left him with a burning sensation, as well as acupuncture and taking "super powerful herbs."
When the treatments failed to work Chan's family confronted the doctor and demanded his money back.
The doctor promised to pay back the money if Chan's family did not report the matter to the police, the paper reported. - AFP
