Malaysia Airlines said today it would offer discounts of between 30 and 50 percent on a range of international tickets to encourage people to travel despite fears of a war in Iraq.
The national carrier said it expected to rake in between RM50 and RM75 million in ticket sales at a three-day travel and tourism fair starting Friday.
"This is damage control for us," the airline's regional assistant general manager Rashid Khan told a news conference.
