Puteri Umno chief Azalina Othman has advised her members to be careful about revealing party information to foreigners especially their media representatives.

"Many representatives of the foreign media and officials have tried to garner various information from Puteri Umno members without they being aware of it", Bernama quoted her as saying in Johor today.

Need for caution

Saying that the move was to avoid any misinterpretation of issues which cropped up, Azalina explained that her advice does not mean that nothing must be said at all but that there was the need to exercise caution in view of the world's current volatile situation.

She said the movement had many members working as professionals in multi-national corporations and they came into regular contact with many expatriates who might attempt to gain confidential party data from them.
