All the people in Kelantan will have access to piped water supply in 2027, the State Assembly was told today.

State Housing, Public Works, Utilities and Environment Committee Chairman Md Anizam Abd Rahman said the state government, through Syarikat Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd, would strive to improve the quality of potable water in stages by then.

"God willing, in 2027, the whole of Kelantan will enjoy piped water supply," he said when replying to a question from Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman (PAS-Chetok).

Replying to a question from Muhamad Mustafa (PAS-Demit), Md Anizam said RM10 million was allocated annually for repair of infrastructure, such as village roads, in the state.

He said opposition assemblymen were also entitled to apply for such aid.
