The assemblyman's poor health prompted Pahang Umno to appoint Kuala Krau member of parliament Ismail Mohamed Said as coordinator of Kerdau state constituency.
Zaharuddin, 63, spent two months in the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur for a stroke after an operation for ulcer in the intestine at HSAH in May.
