Forward 'evidence' to MACC, Khalid tells Noh
Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said Selangor Umno deputy chief Noh Omar should hand over proof to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) about his claim that the expenses for the Yayasan Selangor anniversary event was over RM800,000.
“I don’t want to comment further because this is under investigation,” he told reporters after attending a gotong-royong event at Pekan Jeram new mosque in Kuala Selangor today.
On the presence of MACC officials at the Yayasan Selangor office yesterday, Abdul Khalid said it was the duty of the MACC to investigate and that he, as the foundation’s chairman, would give his full cooperation.
“I welcome the investigation into the issue,” he said.
It was reported that the cost to hold the event was RM300,000 but Noh claimed that he had evidence that the event would have cost RM800,000.
The event had been cancelled following the controversy over the cost.
