DAP vice-president M Kulasegaran today asked his supporters, especially Indian members in the party, not to protest against his defeat in the elections held at the Perak DAP Convention last Sunday.      

NONE Kulasegaran ( left ), who is MP for Ipoh Barat, lost his post of state deputy president,and later turned down an offer to appoint him as a vice-president in the new Perak line-up.     

He understood that a number of Indian members were especially disappointed with the defeat, but said they should not hold any protest to express their feelings.       

"They should not be too emotional. Instead, they should concentrate fully on party work," he told reporters here, commenting on a report that a group of DAP members in Penang wanted to protest his defeat.     

Kulasegaran said that many people had alleged through the phone and SMS that he was a victim of certain state leaders who wanted to oust him.     

Kalasegaran, who declared yesterday that he had no intention of leaving DAP, said that party members should be wary of people playing on their emotions.
