A detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report, expected to be completed in May, will be the key factor in deciding whether the government should proceed with the construction of a RM1.5 billion incinerator plant in Broga, Selangor.

Housing and Local Government Minister o­ng Ka Ting told the Dewan Rakyat today that work o­n the project would not commence before approval is obtained from the Department of Environment.

He said the government would abide by any guidelines outlined by the department.
