He said 50 percent of them were Malays, 22 percent Indians, 13 percent Chinese and 15 per cent communities from Sabah and Sarawak.
"According to the party's membership records as of Nov 25, we have 370,000 members, and 24,000 applications for membership," he said when tabling the report of the secretary-general at the 7th PKR National Congress, here.
PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Ismail opened the congress. Also present at the opening were PAS vice-presidents Salahuddin Ayub and Mahfuz Omar, DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang and national laureate A Samad Said.
70,000 members voted in polls
On the party elections, Saifuddin, who is Machang MP, said 99.7 percent of the PKR members were eligible to vote in the elections which enforces a "one member, one vote" system.
Saifuddin said 70,000 members throughout the country had voted in the divisional elections which saw 13,000 candidates vie for various positions, including division chiefs.
He said the Central Elections Committee had received 18 complaints pertaining to the elections to the Central Leadership Council.
All the complaints would be looked into, he added.
