Deputy IGP assures police weaknesses being rectified
Action is being taken to overcome the weaknesses in the police force, Deputy Inspector General of Police Mohd Bakri Omar said today.
A Bernama report quoted him as saying that Bukit Aman noted there had been criticism of the police force relating to abuse of police authority, being negligent, rude and engaging in criminal activities which had affected the force's reputation.
"However, action has been taken and stringent measures will continue to be implemented to overcome the weaknesses in the force," he said.
