New Straits Times and Star shone their spotlights on BN chairperson and Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s speech at the BN Convention, where he cautioned the coalition against four political diseases - inertia, delusion, amnesia and arrogance.

Berita Harian

and Utusan Malaysia , too front-paged Najib’s speech, with Utusan highlighting  that the opposition will not succeed in its attempts to copy BN as the opposition is only concerned with misleading the rakyat.

Sinar Harian front-paged the rally against the privatisation of water for the state of Selangor in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, reporting that a state assemblyperson was arrested with 48 other demonstrators.

Editorial

New Straits Times said that affirmative action favouring Malays and bumiputera still stands in the NEM, but the measures are more palatable as market-distorting features of the affirmative action have been removed to make it more market-friendly.

Both Utusan and Berita Harian opined that Najib’s speech yesterday was laden with important messages which the BN should take heed of when preparing for the upcoming general election.
