Mahathir: Sodomy II not entrapment

Md Imraz Muhammed Ikhbal: How on earth would an ex-PM know whether or not the sodomy II charge is an entrapment? What relevance is an ex-PM to a case purportedly under the sole authority of the police and AG's office?

Most important of all, how on earth would Singapore even know that Anwar Ibrahim did indeed commit the alleged crime? If there were such evidence, wouldn't the prosecution have got hold of it by now?

The very fact that Singapore ‘leaks' such unsubstantiated allegation and Dr Mahathir Mohamad seeks to confirm that Anwar Ibrahim is guilty without so much as a shred of concrete evidence is in itself testimony that all this is indeed a political set-up which most Malaysians are already fully aware of.

And for our ex-premier to insistently assert that Anwar is guilty in Sodomy II strengthens further the credence that he was indeed the master of set-up of Sodomy I against Anwar many years back.

Pemerhati: Mahathir is now claiming that it is not possible to tell a lot of people to lie and find Anwar guilty. Mahathir got rid of Anwar on trumped-up sodomy charges by ensuring crooked and incompetent people - who could be blackmailed or those who had no morals and principles and who would do anything to get promoted - were put in top positions.

They then selected the people to do all the dirty work such as forcing the witnesses to lie, plant incriminating evidence and the kangaroo judges to conduct the trial. Najib is now following a similar strategy for the Sodomy II case.

To remain in power and rob the country of billions, Mahathir did tremendous damage to our educational, enforcement, judicial and civil service institutions. Even if we make a start now to undo the damage, it would take a very long time to get back to our previous high standards.

The US was fooled when no WMD (weapons of mass destruction) were found in Iraq as claimed by its intelligence. The Sodomy II trial shows Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) has also been fooled.

ACR: Mahathir agrees with LKY's supposed knowledge of Anwar's activities but condemns LKY on his low opinion of BN government. He is willing to testify in court for the PKFZ scandal but can't remember a thing about the judge-fixing fiasco.

Wira: Dear Mahathir, if it's not an entrapment, the case would have been thrown out long ago because of:

i) Irrefutable raw evidence of the doctor who first examined the alleged victim. He reported no trace of penetration.

ii) Testimony of Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan who alleged sexual assault whereas the charge read consensual sex.

Moreover, the conduct of the judge, the prosecution and the witnesses in refusing defence access to those medical notes or wilfully not referring to their own notes even when they were forgetful in their testimonies spoke volumes of conspiracy in the highest order.

Not withstanding too, the involvement of the then DPM who admitted innocently seeing a dropout because the latter wanted a scholarship. That took place just prior to Anwar's arrest for sodomy. These are just tip of the iceberg.

I am very sure Lee Kuan Yew and his officials must have told the Americans/Australians their viewpoint on the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu. Let's wait a while more for more bombshells from the Australian press. If I were Najib, I would be peeing in my pants.

Lesungbatu: Mahathir, have you not any mirror at home? Take a closer look at yourself and ask, how long would you think you would live? Another 100 years? Please stop all the evil words about the person you hated so much.

Even if DSAI (Anwar Ibrahim) were involved with men, so what? Are you implying that DSAI is morally low than you?

What about others who plunder this nation of its wealth and the rakyat's money? Is it alright to blow up a Mongolian woman and pretend she never existed? Is it okay to let those innocent citizens shot by our police? Is it morally right to let those people at the rural who had to walk miles to get to the nearest public amenities?

Habib RAK: Guess who is the guest at the opening of the Loaf Bakery at Bangsar Village? Look at the picture - Dr Ling Liong Sik. Now that should send an indirect message to all and sundry. What will be the outcome of the PKFZ court case? Partners-in-crime?

Singa Pura Pura: As a matter of principle, and as a protest against this persistently malignant dictator of a doctor, my family and I will not walk past the door of any bakery or shop the opening of which he has officiated.

As far as lies go, I have no doubt as to the breadth and length to which the dictator and his racist horde would go.

Bozo: LKY (Lee Kuan Yew), whatever good you have done have now gone to the drains. You have stoop so low to the extend by working hand-in-gloves wih BN to bring Anwar down. You are worried that once Pakatan Rakyat takes over Putrajaya, it will be threat to Singapore.

You are no better than Mahathir, a dictator who also rules with an iron hand to bring down your political opponents.

Phra Ong Chao: If you are a very good leader for your people, one of the best in the world (not unlike Singapore), what sort of a leader would you want as a neighbour? Certainly someone who will listen to you better and yield to your wishes.

It's in the best interest of your own country that other countries should do your bidding. A good leader would worry if the neighbouring country has a good leader that will put his own country at a disadvantage.
