Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim is challenging Singapore Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew to go to court over his remarks in a leaked diplomatic cable report that implicated him in an act of sodomy.

NONE Speaking to a 1,000-strong crowd at a ceramah in Taman Melati in Kuala Lumpur last night, Anwar urged Lee to disclose all his evidence on the allegations made public last week through the whistleblower website WikiLeaks.

"He said I indeed committed a sodomy act. Maybe he wants to go to court as a witness, then we shall fight in court," he said.

"We will do it based on facts. And I shall protect my integrity."

Anwar also sneered at the remark by the Singapore intelligence, recorded in the same diplomatic cable, that said he knowingly walked into a sex trap .

"(It claimed) I w NONE as aware of everything, yet I fell into the trap. Am I that stupid? I am not (lawyer) VK Lingam," he said.

Anwar ticked off Singapore for interfering in Malaysia's domestic affairs. 

"Singapore should just mind its own business. Don't meddle in our fight with BN... don't be insolent ( kurang ajar )."

The talk, which began at 9pm in the heavy presence of police, saw PKR leaders relentlessly highlighting the leaked cables touching on Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's involvement in a murder case (which he has denied) and ignoring all allegations levelled against Anwar.

'Najib must act'

Anwar also urged Najib to emulate him in seeking justification from the Singapore authorities.

"Najib said (the issue) is too petty to comment on, but it is not petty. This concerns our prime minister. Can he challenge Singapore to show evidence on the claim that he is involved in the murder case?"

NONE On Sunday, the Australian newspaper Sun Herald carried reports on several cables related to Malaysia from the WikiLeaks website.

The cables, dated 2008 and 2009, contained a senior Singapore government leader's criticism of Najib, branding him an "opportunist" and claiming that he was involved in a murder case.

In another cable reported by the Sun Herald , Lee and other officials claimed that Anwar had knowingly walked into a sex trap.

Umno, PAP 'no different'

Anwar also condemned the international public relations firm Apco as being given too much power.

He has been investigated for likening Apco's 1Malaysia campaign to the 'One Israel' slogan, and is likely to be suspended for six months from the Dewan Rakyat. 

"If they are going to suspend me on Thursday, I will barnstorm the entire country to protest," he added.

pkr wangsa maju ceramah 141210 tian chua In an earlier session, PKR vice-president Tian Chua ( right ) said Singapore's ruling People's Action Party matched Umno in touching on the contents of leaked diplomatic cables.

"Umno and the Singapore government are the same. They have been ruling for so many years," said the Batu MP.

"But if Malaysians can rise to reject Umno in the coming general election, I believe Singaporeans will also do the same thing."

The talk proceeded uninterrupted as the organiser was given a permit by Sentul OCPD Zakaria Pagan to hold the event until 10.30pm, with the deadline duly observed.
