Langkawi FM plans to make waves in the new year as a popular tourist radio.
Its director Zainal Abidin Asri Abdul Wahid said today the radio would make several changes, including to its broadcast schedule and programmes, to cater to the tastes of listeners.
More than 50,000 people or about 50 per cent of the people in Langkawi listen to Langkawifm, he said in a statement quoting statistics provided by a media research firm.
The Langkawi FM broadcast can be received on the island, in some parts of Perlis, the west coast of Kedah and northern Penang, he added.
