Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM), Malaysia’s leading integrated information and communications group, is offering a one-month waiver on the subscription fee for its UniFi package to all new subscribers who register online.

In a statement here today, it said the online registration will enable the public to quickly apply and check for service availability at www.tm.com.my.

"The process allows new subscribers to check for service availability based on their address, create personal usernames and profiles, manage their account as well as book an installation appointment," it added.

Launched in September 2008, the RM11.3 billion national High Speed Broadband (HSBB) project is a public-private-partnership initiative undertaken by TM and the government of Malaysia to develop the next generation high speed broadband infrastructure and services for the nation.

TM is investing up to RM8.9 billion in the project while the government is contributing RM2.4 billion on an incurred claims basis based on project milestones reached by TM.
