The case of alleged abuse of power and irregularities involving the son-in-law of the Kelantan menteri besar is not solved yet and it is still under investigation.

Kelantan Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director Nasaruddin Mohd Noor said the commission was trying to obtain more information and documents to facilitate the investigation into the case involving Abdul Ariffahmi Ab Rahman, the former Menteri Besar Inc chief executive officer (photo) .

azlan He said the MACC had only previously announced that the case of Abdul Ariffahmi's controversial appointment as the Menteri Besar Inc CEO by his father-in-law as closed, and not the alleged irregularities and abuse of power by the former.

Nasaruddin said this to reporters, after attending a programme organised by the Road Transport Department and MACC in Kota Bharu today, following questions raised as to whether Ariffahmi's case had been closed.

At the end of 2009, the MACC had opened investigation papers on Ariffahmi's case, while Nik Aziz was investigated following his disclosure that he received sponsorship for Haj pilgrimage worth RM65,000, but in December last year the MACC declared the latter's case as closed.

According to Nasaruddin, the Kelantan MACC was also still investigating whether there were irregularities involved in the relocation of traders from the Uda Lambok Arcade and Kota Bharu Municipal Council market to the Tok Guru Bazaar, here.
