Sri Muda state assemblyperson Shuhaimi Shafiei and his special assistant Mohamad Azmin Abdul Karim today gave statements to the police on the incident where his service centre was splashed with red paint on Jan 7.

The assemblyperson and Mohamad Azmin arrived at the Shah Alam district police headquarters at 4.15pm to give their statements and were seen leaving the police headquarters at 5.40pm.

When approached later, Shuhaimi said this was the second time that he had been called up to assist police investigation into the incident.

"My aide (Mohamad Azmin) had been called up five times of which, four were to assist in the probe on the paint splashing incident and the other concerning the entry on the sultan of Selangor in his blog," he said.

The door to the assemblyperson's service centre in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam was splashed with red paint believed to be linked to his controversial writing on Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah in his blog earlier.
