Head of KeADILan's Youth Wing, Mohamad Ezam M. Nor, denied that Chandra Muzaffar, the party's deputy president, had resigned. He also denied that the party's number two had been pressured by certain quarters to quit.

He explained that Chandra was merely seeking the opinion of the party's leadership on whether to accept a job offer from an international NGO.

In a statement to malaysiakini yesterday, Chandra denied handing in an official letter of resignation as rumoured.

However, a source close to the party said that Chandra's official letter of resignation had been delivered even before the recent general elections. A party decision to accept the letter had yet been made, and the source today said that Chandra might reconsider his decision to withdraw from his post.

So far, key leaders of KeADILan have not released any press statements regarding the rumoured resignation.
