New Straits Times led with Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak assuring that the evacuation of Malaysians stranded in Egypt was not a political stunt. The rescue mission was carried out without hesitation as the government was concerned for the safety of its citizen there, he said.

Star front-paged findings by the Meteorological Department predicting extreme weather conditions for coming years which may lead to communicable disease such as malaria, dengue and others.

New Straits Times said the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s website has travel advice for Australians vising Malaysia. The advice by the ministry includes safety standards for transportation, tour operators and safe travelling equiptment, seeing that many accidents such as ferry and boat capsizings, water scooter accidents and tour bus crashes are inflicted upon tourists.

Berita Harian commented that the addition of a second North-South Expressway could solve the traffic congestion, particularly during festive seasons.
