A total of 128 of the 191 deaths recorded so far during the exercise, which began on Jan 27 and ends today, were motorcyclists and pillion riders, according to the statistics released by the Bukit Aman Traffic Police on their website.
The data showed that 1,156 accidents were reported throughout the country yesterday.
A total of 486 of these accidents occurred on municipal roads, 295 on federal roads, 219 on state roads, 85 on highways and 71 on other roads.
Also yesterday, 12,040 summonses were issued for various offences.
