vox populi small thumbnail 'What Hasbie has stacked up the last two years is enough to last two lifetimes, whilst what we worked for a lifetime is not enough to see us through hard times.'

Ex-ministerial aide charged over RM2.1 mil cash

Dark Knight : If Hasbie Satar, a former political secretary of Nor Mohamed Yakcop, could be caught with over RM2 million in cash in his apartment, just try to imagine how more he could have had outside his apartment.

And if you think millions of dollars is chicken feed to BN politicians, then try to imagine how much Hasbie's boss could have stashed in his home and abroad - what with his scandal in the forex exchange losses in the 1990s.

Hasbie's case is merely the tip of the exposed iceberg. The whole system is corrupt to the core. Former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad promoted Indian Muslims at the expense of the Melayu jati, and now, together with the Umnoputras, they have been raping and pillaging Malaysia's earned and natural resources. The theft is going on now unabated.

Anonymous222 Hasbie Satar, a Sarawakian, owns many properties in Klang. But why was the money found in his apartment in Penang? His ex-boss (Nor Mohamed Yakcop) is from Penang. Is it just mere coincidence or is Hasbie just the proxy?

Lim Chong Leong: He is just a sacrificial lamb offered for slaughter to the gods of election. All for ‘sandiwara'. Remember Eric Chia a few elections ago? In the end, he was acquitted. Since then, who had been found guilty and sentenced? Zero! So don't talk until we have seen the hanging.

Black Mamba: About time. The question is, why did it took so long for a BN's man to be charged while for Pakatan Rakyat, court cases move with extra efficiency?

Malaysiawatch4.blogspot: Hasbie is taking the fall for VVIPs. He can't be too smart if he buys properties in his own name so I don't believe he was the mastermind.

As someone mentioned, he is most likely a proxy or that was his commission for helping his master seal the "I help you, you help me" deals. I wonder what is the price for silence? Remember Lorrain Osman spent many years in prison for the BMF (Bumiputera Malaysia Finance) affair and he took its secrets to his grave.

Alan Goh: Hasbie, you might be out of job and have no pension, but what you have stacked up the last two years is enough to last two lifetimes, whilst what we worked for a lifetime is not enough to see us through hard times.

What about the ‘tuan rumah' Nor Mohamed Yakcop? There is no smoke without fire.

Muhyiddin denies NEM 'watered down'

Gerard Samuel Vijayan: So former US ambassador to Malaysia John Malott and National Economic Advisory Council (NEAC) member Zainal Aznam Mohd Yusof are liars. Then please explain the fundamental differences between NEM Part 1 and NEM Part 2, the latter being the end product. Why was the EOC (Equal Opportunities Commission) dropped?

So what is the difference between NEM 2 and the NEP? Probably nothing much. Just recycle the old crap and give it a new label.

With Apco around PM Najib Razak and Muhyiddin Yassin have become consummate actors and spin doctors. The rakyat knows who is telling the truth and who is still sticking to ‘Ketuanan Melayu' even in economic matters, notwithstanding that the country is heading towards rack and ruin.

Is the 30 percent equity target going to help the 70 percent Malay households who live in poverty? The NEM should be renamed the ‘New Cronyism Model' because that it what it has become.

Just An Ordinary Malaysian "He has no status. He is not even some president and prime minister." Well, at least the editors at Wall Street Journal thought John Malott worthy enough to ask for his opinion.

NuckinFuts: It's so easy and convenient to call Malott a "liar". Why don't you put that "honest" brain of yours to good use by rebutting Malott's statements and accusations point-by-point? Come on, for the sake of the bangsa and negara , Mr DPM?

JBGUY: The DPM's explanations are not based on fact and he does not produce any evidence to rebut the assertions. He has shown himself to be shallow in his thoughts and vindictive as well.

Truly, if this is the quality of ministers we have, we are doomed. It is not a wonder now for Idris Jala to say that we are looking at bankruptcy by the end of the decade, knowing that we have some of the most ill-qualified ministers in the world managing Malaysia.

To all those Malaysians who keep believing in the ruling party to lead us out of the doldrums, know that you are going to be responsible for the sad state of affairs which will assail the future generations including our children.

Malaysians Are Not Stupid: The following comment from Muhyiddin is shocking: "There is no need to further the matter as the former ambassador, John Malott, was no longer an envoy... He has no status. He is not even some president and prime minister."

So now you know why BN is not bother to listen to ordinary citizen like you and me as only presidents and PMs have the right to be heard.

Wira: Actually, John Malott, as a non-Malaysian, has no status to lie to us. That right is reserved for our elected leaders.
