Chemist: Mystery man's semen found on Saiful's briefs

Pemerhati: Up to now Saiful has been blatantly lying. He claims he was forcibly raped but when he also says that he had been sodomised many times on different occasions, it immediately indicates that he is either lying or was a willing party.

His story about his visit to the condo and then going to the bathroom and coming out clad in a towel to be sodomised, also indicates that he was either a willing party or is lying.

Saiful’s claim that he did not go to the toilet for two days after he was sodomised is an obvious lie because the doctor who examined him found that his colon was empty.

If the chemist’s report is the last and final report, it is shockingly incompetent of the police to not submit Anwar’s DNA.

Anwar was in prison for several years and the BN authorities probably have his DNA as they could have collected it from his cell or during his hospital visits.

So far it looks like a crude and desperate attempt by Najib to harass and imprison Anwar on a trumped-up charge.

Anonymous_4135: Now, if the amount of semen filled the underwear and leaked to his jeans, and Saiful decided to keep it inside for two days before meeting up with Najib, the doctor  should have inspected Saiful's head too.

Who would have kept it inside for 2 days, performed prayers, not washed his anus, not brushed his teeth, and mind you - I'm not sure how toothpaste will react with semen, but my guess is it will pretty kill them off quite quickly - see the PM and also remain so calm during the examination. Saiful, you FAILED TERRIBLY as an actor!

Chandran Sukumaran : The question is, how come Saiful ejaculated when he was forcibly sodomised? Did he play an active or a passive role? If it was the former, then Anwar should be the complainant.

Fido Dido: If Seah is so professionally good, please get to the point and tell the DNA test result as to whose sperm is that. Don’t waste time. Say if it is or isn’t DSAI’s sperm. She only has to confirm that.

Kgen: The chemist did not answer the most important question - whose sperm was found in Saiful's underwear and anus? It is not sufficient to say a male Y's DNA was found in the specimen. Where was it extracted from?

To prove their case the prosecution must prove it was extracted from DSAI's sperm cells and nothing else. DNA can easily be taken from somewhere else and planted.

lim chong leong : How come he came out in a towel but sperm is found in his pants? Did he just put on his pants after the incident without washing up and left? And when did oral sex first come to be mentioned?

Anonymous_3f15 : I’m also confused, one doctor insists it is sodomy, now it is ‘attempted sodomy’. One day there’s penetration, then there’s just an attempt to do it. Just like Teoh's case, no suicide, no homicide... Ha! Only in Bolehland.

Armour Man : I am sure Dr Seah, with her qualifications and experience, is a person of integrity. However, she can only produce results based on the samples given to her. How were the samples collected? That the samples came from the police makes us sceptical about this case, doesn't it?

Sabawak: Anwar will be found not guilty, but this trial will bring him down. It is a strategic exercise by Umno to weaken his resolve and the resolve of the people by planting doubts in their minds.

Ethnic strain: M'sia on brink of breakdown, says don

focus: Many Chinese parents are sending their children to Chinese schools in response to the subtle but systematic obliteration of Chinese customs and cultures.

In the face of threats, we gather back to our kind to receive protection and comfort. Please hear that loud and clear.

The bumis can never really understand the non-bumis' fears and anxieties because they are never at the receiving end. The NEP and its implementations have caused untold frustrations and misery.

Foo: So blame the vernacular schools! Please tell, what about MRSM, SM Sains, Sek Berasrama Penuh, S Agama Bersepadu, S Kawalan, etc. Mind you all these are GOVT SECONDARY SCHOOLS that cater mainly to ONE race, not to mention our famous uniracial U Mara. So, even if you want to play the blame game, why not call a spade a spade?

Manjit Bhatia: What Farish Noor says is true but not surprising. But I think his analogy of Malaysia to Indonesia is quite misplaced. Indonesia is not dysfunctional in its race relations, unless you consider regional differences that cut across race and religion (Muslims vs Christians) in the archipelago.

So he shouldn't generalise. Bangladesh's PM is keeping a very tight reign on domestic politics by pinning down and even hammering radical and militant Islamic extremists and terrorists. Pakistan is by far the most dangerous place on earth - but for a host of reasons. But race relations?

The turmoil is between Muslims and their versions of the Quran and between Sh'ites, Sunnis and Pashtuns. But Megat Megat's argument is just typically wank. He wouldn't know his arse from his elbow. It's not vernacular schools, you turkey; it's the education system that your Umno morons have sodomised left, right and centre. So too the school curriculum. Curriculum is only as good as the system.

Louis: Don’t blame it on vernacular schools. Farish Noor is right that it is the politicians who are trying to drive wedges among the races. Ordinary Malays, Chinese and Indians mix freely without a care for the colour of our skins. It is the politicians and news media that keep reminding them about their differences.

G Annamalai:

Tuan Megat,You are talking nonsense. If vernacular schools are the main cause, what caused racial riots in Indonesia, Bangladesh and Pakistan? How many streams of schools do they have? Racial bigotry has overtaken logic and reasoning in your argument. It is the policy of the government of the day that is causing so much of racial discord now, don't you see it?

Balan:

I agree with Farish and Megat that ethnic relations are bad in our country like never before and politicians are the root cause. However, I would like to vehemently disagree that vernacular schools are the cause.

Vernacular schools are not the cause any more than predominantly Malay/Islamic schools or Mara University can be the cause.

Post-May 13, the lack of a national language was touted as the cause of disunity. Rahman Yakub, then education minister, made BM compulsory and everybody learned the language, even teachers.

The medium of instruction became Malay, every educated person had a working knowledge of Malay, but unity was elusive and racial polarisation in universities became worse. Do a study in universities to find out if students from mono-ethnic schools are more polarised. My observation says no.

Unity comes from the heart. It doesn't matter what language you speak or don't speak. If anything, pupils from mono-ethnic schools are more curious and ready to oblige and get along with others.

RCI: S'gor pulls out, foreign experts added as witnesses

Anonymous_5fb : I just can't understand why this Umno-led government cannot do something 'convincing' so that the rakyat of all races will want them to continue leading the country again. To me, since TBH was, during the material time under the custody of the MACC, whatever the reason(s) leading to his death, logically MACC is responsible. Yet, the inquest didn't arrive at this conclusion.

Those involved in interrogating TBH are worse than animals. They have no conscience at all. Since the death of TBH, none of them is coming out to clarify truthfully what was going on. They may escape from man-made laws, but they can't ever run away from their own conscience.

Multi Racial : Justice has to be seen fair and not just act fair. Due to what happened, the people have lost faith in the judiciary. Demanding the establishment of a royal commission (RCI) to investigate Teoh Beng Hock's case was the people’s last hope and if that fails, the next thing is to bring justice is through ballot box. Instead of putting things right, the RCI helps to dig the hole for the judiciary. They fail in the basic task of the judiciary, i.e. to be seen to be fair. Now we think they are not.

Not Confused: A-G Chambers corrupt? Now who could possibly think that?

The AG has repeatedly shown his integrity and professional approach to dealing with legal matters under his purview! The problem is that his legal training and experience have all been in the kangaroo variety of court and the BN-controlled courts. He knows nothing else. He wouldn't stand a chance in any international court system where standards of integrity and professionalism are considerably higher than here.

Kgen:

Including Pornthip is too little too late to save the credibility of the RCI. Why wasn't this important witness included in the first place, instead of being added in now in a belated attempt to save the RCI's credibility? James Foong, as an Umno judge, has no right to head the RCI. He has never been independent and cannot be independent now.
