You win if we win, says Adnan Yaakob

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's infamous "you help me, I help you" pledge took on a fresh twist today, as Pahang Menteri Besar Adnan Yaakob told Kerdau's voters that their "big problems" will be solved if BN wins the contest.
Adnan (

"If you want us to solve your big problems, then let us win first," he when accompanying Najib at a meet-the-people session at Kerdau town, organised by the 1Malaysia NGO.
Najib's "you help me, I help you" pledge went viral last year after Malaysiakini posted a video and article on him saying it on the campaign trail during the SIbu by-election, which was won by DAP candidate Wong Ho Leng.
Adnan, branded a thug by Pakatan after he was caught on film doing a lewd gesture during the Sanggang by-election in 2000, told the 450-strong mixed crowd that BN leaders have been successful in helping solve problems at the personal level.
"Datuk Seri Liow (Tiong Lai, MCA deputy president) has done it, I have done it... we have gone down and helped individuals solve their issues. But when it comes to big problems, we won't make any promises.
"There are those who say that you cannot rely on what the Pahang Menteri Besar says. (To know) whether or not you can rely on what I say, you have to wait until we win first," he said.
Adnan did not deny opposition claims that BN leaders only go down to meet constituents during an election, but defended their absence by saying they need to pay attention to many other things.
"This is what happens when you have a lot of children... when you have four, five or six wives and many children, you are bound to spend less time with them.
"But when our children suffer, just like here in Kerdau, we will be there for you."
