The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) will not issue any licences to any quarters to put up product and service advertisements with elements of sex and superstition in areas under its jurisdiction.

Mayor Mazalan Md Noor said MBSA had received many complaints of such advertisements being put up on walls, lamp posts, trees and even on phone booths in Shah Alam.

"Action has been taken to remove them," he told Bernama here today.

Bernama checks found that many advertisement buntings had been put up on trees and lamp posts here, with some of them offering spiritual massage service, sex stimulants and supernatural help to collect debts.

Most of them did not even have any approval stickers from MBSA and were written in various languages and with misleading illustrations.
