Anwar need not prove his innocence
'It is the prosecution that has to prove he is guilty. There is no reason for Anwar to cooperate with the very people who are bent on putting him in prison.'
Perkasa, Gaps demand Anwar to submit DNA
Anonymous_410a: What has Perkasa - supposedly an NGO that is fighting for Malay rights - got to do with Anwar's sodomy case? In what way will Anwar's giving of his DNA going to further the cause of Malay rights?
I know it will definitely further the cause of the corrupt Umno and BN politicians, but for the Malay rights...?
Anonymous_3e06: Two questions: where were the police during the protest? Can the police furnish us whether they had a permit to protest?
Secondly, why is Gaps and Perkasa so interested in the Anwar's DNA? How come they are not protesting to find out the truth about Teoh Beng Hock or the murder of the Mongolian woman?
X-Umno: These are another bunch of useless groups who are blind to justice, corruption and abuse of power by Umno. Do they ever bother to question on the losses of almost RM800 billion in illicit outflow? Or PKFZ, Perwaja... the list is endless.
Broken Foot: The fact that these characters are protesting is a sure indication that Umno is behind Anwar's persecution. Otherwise, why demonstrate. Unless they are a party to it and stand to gain, if and when Anwar is put in prison.
I think they are not confident in the outcome of the verdict. Perhaps, this is to pressure the judge into compelling Anwar to submit his DNA.
They seem to have it all backwards. Anwar does not have to prove his innocence. It is the prosecution that has to prove he is guilty. There is no reason for Anwar to cooperate with the very people who are bent on putting him in prison.
Anonymous_3e86: The reason the DNA samples extracted from the towel, water bottle and hair from the cell were ruled inadmissible in court was that they were taken unlawfully. The law does not compel Anwar to give his DNA. It is within his right not to give.
Why would Anwar be so stupid to allow his DNA samples be planted again as in Sodomy I?
Terus: What are Perkasa and Gaps attempting? Trial by lynch mob and street demonstrations?
Anonymous_3e4b: If I were Anwar Ibrahim, I wouldn't rush to provide the police with fresh DNA samples. You could never know where it would end up - "new evidence" may suddenly appearing up from someone's arse.
Proarte: Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan meets Najib Razak initially for a scholarship and then apparently seeks Najib as 'counselor' over his repeated rape by Anwar. What an awful counselor Najib must be because two days later, after meeting Rodwan Mohd Yusof (the police officer involved in sodomy I) Saiful voluntarily drove to Anwar's apartment to be raped yet again.
Strangely he only reports to a hospital two days later, not cleaning himself and apparently in semen stained underwear. The Hospital Pusrawi doctor found no sign of penetration.
This medical examination would have entailed applying lubricant in the anus and the doctors would have cleaned the whole area after the inspection. How could there be DNA acquired from this area by the HKL (Hospital Kuala Lumpur) doctors?
Also the Pusrawi doctor went into hiding! Furthermore, the sample seals from HKL were broken by the police. Clearly there is foul play beyond reasonable doubt by the police. Why should Anwar implicate himself?
Rick Teo: Perkasa and Gaps, why didn't you demand that PM Najib Razak to provide his DNA in the case of the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu? Both these NGOs are nothing but a guise for the Umno leaders. Look at the familiar faces at all the protests held by them.
Indian Ji: Perkasa gathers, none are arrested. Hindraf holds peaceful gathering, many arrested. What double-standards.
Study on nuke power in M'sia to proceed
Limos: "Malaysia plan's to build two nuclear power plants will proceed with Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation (MNPC) opening a tender to international consultants to conduct a study on their feasibility."
The study will say Malaysia is a safe country, no disaster will occur and there is no risk to build the nuclear power plants. After all, the consultants will get what they want. Over the years, if anything bad happen, they will pack their bags and fly out of the country.
Then another team of so-called consultants will comment on the wrongdoing of the previous consultants. The current minister of energy, green technology and water will become the scapegoat. Same like the PKFZ issue?
FNH: Minister Peter Chin said, "We have time to carry out a thorough study ... the government will not do it secretly without informing the public."
No, they'll just wait until collective amnesia sets in, then they proceed ‘business as usual'.
And what is the scope of that international consultancy's involvement? And who can forget what happened to the consultancy report for our national healthcare funding?
Also we don't need to wait for MNPC to be speak on the situation in Japan when IAEA and Japan's NISA are releasing their own reports.
Mob1900: Meanwhile... billions of our tax money will be used/abuse/siphoned/drained on this feasibility 'study'.
Kit P: In the light of the recent events, this is a highly irresponsible statement. Peter Chin is basically saying the decision to build the nuclear power plant is a fait accompli.
He's saying they have already decided to go ahead to buy the house - the study is more about deciding where the house will be, how the interior decoration is going to be like.
A responsible government should review the original decision to build the nuclear plant in the first place.
