PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, after battling both the sex tape allegation and the sodomy II trial in the peninsula, will turn his attention to the Sarawak state election tomorrow when he starts a nine-day visit to the Land of the Hornbills.

This is the opposition leader's first visit to Sarawak since the dissolution of the state assembly last Monday.

His first stop will be the state capital Kuching, with a public rally scheduled for tomorrow evening.

azlan PKR’s sole assemblyperson Dominique Ng, who represents the Padungan state seat located in the heart of Kuching, will be speaking together with Anwar.

“Anwar will begin his statewide visit to Sarawak tomorrow to examine the preparations for the state polls, and Padungan is his first stop,” read a statement released by the Kuching PKR division today.

It is expected that Anwar will reveal the details of seat allocation talks between PKR, DAP and PAS during his stay in Sarawak.

Earlier today the three parties announced that they had resolved their seat allocation, with DAP and PAS contesting 15 and five seats respectively. The remaining 51 seats are still being discussed between PKR and Snap.

Although the details of which seat goes to which party will only be announced in Kuching, the division’s statement declared that Ng will represent PKR and Pakatan Rakyat to defend Padungan, which is one of the contentious seats between DAP and PKR.

With nomination day and polling day falling on April 6 and 16 respectively, Pakatan leaders have started to station themselves in the state to kick off the campaign.
