Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin arrived in Kuching today to look at preparations by the BN component parties for the 10th state election to be held on April 16.
Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin arrived in Kuching today to look at preparations by the BN component parties for the 10th state election to be held on April 16.
Muhyiddin, who arrived this morning, immediately held a closed-door meeting with presidents of the component parties of the Sarawak BN namely Parti Pesaka Bumiputra Bersatu (PBB) president Abdul Taib Mahmud, who is also Sarawak chief minister.

Muhyiddin, who is also the BN deputy chairman, later held a closed-door meeting with members of the Sarawak BN supreme council at the same place, followed by a closed-door briefing on preparations by the state BN on the poll.
Before the dissolution of the state legislative assembly on March 21, the Sarawak BN held 63 seats out of the 71 contested.
In the afternoon, Muhyiddin is scheduled to attend a gathering with the people here, before returning to Kuala Lumpur.
