Man in sex footage isn't Anwar, says family

Gen2indian: The poor man's family had to watch this disgusting video? God forbid! I don't even watch sexual scenes on TV while my 20-year daughter is with me, yet a genuine, loving, Muslim family has to view it together?

I cannot put my anger into words. Anwar Ibrahim and family, I can only urge that you have faith for the sake of the rakyat.

To the family of Anwar, ignore this dirty, cheap, gutter politics of Umno. The urban rakyat knows that Umno is trying all sorts of things to bring down Anwar. Each created scandal against the opposition strengthens Pakatan Rakyat, Anwar and his family.

Isa@1penyu: The man in the sex footage is surely Anwar beyond any reasonable doubt. The way he stands and moves, I know it is Anwar. We had 18 people watch it together and 16 positively said it is Anwar.

Azizah and Nurul told us they will not watch the footage. Why the sudden interest to watch it now? When the issue exploded, Wan Azizah said it is haram to watch and will never, I quote, ‘never' want to watch it. Why suddenly it is not haram to watch now?

For political reasons, most will lie. Anwar lied through his teeth when, on the first day, he said he was on Facebook/Twitter. Then somebody pointed out there were gaps and he cannot use that argument. So now he has to use his family as an alibi. Keep lying, Anwar, and it will cost Pakatan votes.

Terus: Wan Azizah, we salute you for being strong and stand by your man. The scoundrels who called themselves "Datuk" would not care a damn that the person in the video is not your husband. So are the police and politicians who have vested interests.

What they are interested is in destroying Anwar and make sure the lesser-informed kampong folks and rural folks believe the guy in the video is Anwar.

Anonymous_8_CE: Why is everybody here unable to accept opposing arguments? Fearful of losing, maybe? If you think it is not Anwar, and so does his family. Well, others beg to differ, as we all watched the same video.

After all, some of you make accusations with less evidence than this, so accept everything with an open mind. And if this tape is not true, then it will be made known eventually.

There are some people who also think that the room is not good enough for someone of Anwar's stature. This thinking is flawed, because if it really is him, he had to be clandestine with his actions.

Ferdtan: With the Sarawak state elections on and the waning interest in the sex video, Umno are now desperate, and decided to up the ante by releasing a cut-snippet of the said video online. It conveniently left out the part where the fat belly of the 'Anwar-lookalike' which could have completely disproved that it was Anwar.

The online release backfires: now Anwar and his family can safely come out in public to pinpoint the many discrepancies in the video. The people are no fools, they know who are behind all this sordid sex video.

The preferential treatments of the perpetrators, and the non-action by the police, with the home minister playing along show only one thing: they are in the know.

We expect the sex controversy to drag on until the Sarawak election is over. If the police still do not react to the accusations against them, there is no hope left to rehabilitate the good name of the Royal Malaysian Police.

Ruben: The saddest thing is dragging and putting Anwar's family and himself through years and years of injustice, cruelty and humiliation - from 1998 till 2011.

Let's look at the facts. Though Anwar was sentenced to six years' imprisonment for sodomy and corruption, his conviction of sodomy was overturned.

Now, you have Sodomy II and if one follows the trial, it reeks of concerted efforts by the government/Umno/judiciary, to ensure that he is jailed and humiliated again.

Now you have this sex video. I just cannot understand as to how people can be so cruel to the point of acting inhuman and destroy DSAI and his family at any cost. Allah is watching and his wrath will be upon all these people.
