A former bank officer was sentenced to two day's jail and fined RM20,000 in default three months' jail today for disclosing information regarding the bank accounts of Deputy Education Minister Dr Wee Ka Siong to a third party in February last year.

Sessions Court judge SM Komathy Suppiah ordered K Jeyamary, 34, to serve the jail sentence from today.  She also allowed her to pay the fine in five instalments.

Jeyamary, who worked with the Malayan Banking Berhad branch in Setapak, pleaded guilty to the charge of disclosing the account details to private investigator M Ramesh.

Jeyamary, who was represented by Jag Ramachandran, committed the offence at the Second Floor of Setapak Business Centre, Jalan Genting Klang near here on Feb 10 last year.
