MB: Badrul to referred to rights panel after S'wak polls
Port Klang assemblyman Badrul Hisham Abdullah will be referred to the Selangor House Rights and Privileges Committee after the Sarawak state election, said Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
Port Klang assemblyman Badrul Hisham Abdullah will be referred to the Selangor House Rights and Privileges Committee after the Sarawak state election, said Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
He said this was because many Selangor Pakatan Rakyat assemblymen, including state assembly speaker Teng Chang Kim, were currently helping in the campaign in Sarawak.
“Hopefully, by next week, we can refer Badrul (Hisham) to the House Rights and Privileges Committee," he told reporters after chairing the weekly state executive council meeting in Shah Alam today.
On April 1, the Selangor legislative assembly had approved a motion to refer Badrul Hisham and his lawyer, Mohd Hafarizam Harun, to the House Rights and Privileges Committee for allegedly having individually or jointly, insulted the assembly.
Abdul Khalid, when tabling the motion, said Badrul Hisham and his lawyer had insulted the house by sending a letter dated March 29, to Teng which allegedly was “obscene, rude and threatening”.
