The bullet that caused the death of a Kelantan palace guard does not match firearms owned by former Tengku Temenggong Kelantan Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra.

NONE State CID investigating officer ASP Kamarulnizam Alias said firearms and bullets owned by Tengku Muhammad Fakhry ( right ) were returned to him after the tests were carried out.

He said this was attested after firearms and ammunition seized from Tengku Muhammad Fakhry from Istana Mahkota on May 5, 2010 were analysed at the ballistic division of the Police Forensic Laboratory in Cheras.

He was testifying yesterday in the Coroner's Court investigating the death of palace guard Ramli Mohamad in an incident in Palekbang, Tumpat, on the morning of May 1 last year.

Coroner Raja Norshuzianna Shakila Raja Mamat, assisted by Deputy Public Prosecutor Wan Abdul Razak Wan Hussein, presided over the inquest.

In the proceedings on March 30, police forensic analyst Inspector Amir Abdullah confirmed that the bullet sent to him for analysis in connection with the slaying of a Kelantan palace guard, matched that of a .32 calibre pistol.

Kamarulnizam said the police seized a Benelli shotgun, 51 bullets, two magazines, an Auto Glock pistol, two magazines and firearm licences from Tengku Muhammad Fakhry.

He said the police also arrested two men to facilitate investigations into the murder, namely palace driver Mohd Salleh @ Abdul Ghani Ismail and Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra's chef, Mohd Rusdee Hassan @ Thopearoh or Chef Dee.

The police also seized Mohd Rusdee's mobile phone to check his text messages.

Coroner Raja Norshuzianna Shakila fixed May 2 for submissions.
