Wira: All of us should understand that it is so easy to determine the presence of DNA in any sample. Just take a drinking bottle, a toothbrush or a towel, and you will be able to detect the DNA of those who had ever used it.

Notice that throughout the trial, the concentration of DNA is not determinable nor given, only their presence or absence. Thus if I take some old DNA from the accused, sprinkle that to the sperm of the alleged victim and insert that into his rectal cavity, I would be able to have a perfect set-up story for the case especially so if the judge believes in the infallibility of DNA more than a lying accuser with a discredited tale.

Rick Teo: The quickest and most expeditious way to kick BN out of Putrajaya is to send Anwar to jail. It would be a victory for Anwar if he was sent to jail because then the people will have a very good reason to kick BN out.

BN thinks that by sending Anwar to jail, the opposition will collapse. That will be their biggest mistake because it will only galvanise Pakatan Rakyat to fight even harder to take over Putrajaya.

Ferdtan: We expect the trial to continue until the end of the general election. For Umno, there is no turning back. The 'get-Anwar-at all-cost' will keep Anwar tied down with his trial; so as not to give him time to campaign nationwide.

There are too many 'sex exploitation' conspiracies against Anwar that would make the allegations ridiculous. You have allegations of Sodomy I (sodomy against an old man and a middle-aged driver); accused of having affairs and having an illegitimate daugher with the wife of his personal aide; having sexual trysts with several prostitutes (it was revealed that Anwar avoided detection by wearing a wig); Sodomy II with Saiful, after his privileged meeting with the then DPM, Najib Razak; and lastly the sex video exposed by Datuk Trio.

These widely publicised overkill of Anwar may instead caused angry public backlash against the perpetrators - in this case Umno. We have enough of such sordid tales - now you, the elected ministers get back to real work. Let's start by tackling the country's economic woes.

Abil: Hello, can someone tell me what was the charge against Anwar, was it consensual sodomy with Saiful or was Saiful raped in the anus? With so many charges against Anwar by Umno, one gets confused - Sodomy I followed by Sodomy II and now the sex video by former Malacca chief minister Rahim Thamby Chik and a gang of datuks.

Did Rahim swear by the Holy Quran when he denied the rape charge against him?

Prosecution names Anwar as 'Male Y'

Malaysian1st&Last: Why are Jakim and Jais not taking action against Saiful for willfully allowing another person to commit a sexual act against the order of nature? Although the person who shafted Saiful remains to be proven, Saiful has never denied that he allowed himself to be shafted repeatedly as there were more than one DNA found.

Jeritanbatin: What is the truth? BN believe that Anwar is guilty and the opposition believes that Anwar was framed. Either way, Anwar will never be a PM, and either way the rakyat suffer and nobody give a damn. The judicial system in Malaysia is unique and scary.

Uzbek Kebzu: People's comments here are just too one-sided, just like those Umno supporters whom they accuse of being bias. What if it is Anwar? What if it is his DNA? What if? What if? What if?

Lim Chong Leong: Everyone in legal practice knows that any link of ‘Male Y' to Anwar must be tendered by a witness saying that this is so. The prosecution cannot without any witness submit that this is the case. That tantamounts to giving evidence from the bar and borders on contempt depending on how sneakily it is done. It is misleading the court and is therefore contemptuous.

Then again, I am speaking of the common law and this country practises Umno law.
