'Senior citizens cash award returned'

Ttloo: It is good for Penang Umno and their senior citizens to return cash award, which they claim derived from illegal sources, to show how clean and religious they are.

It is time they return everything given to them by Penang state and federal government during BN and presently Pakatan Rakyat era as much of the fund are taxes derived from sinful activities.

Further, they have to stop using all the utilities and facilities since the tainted money was used to construct them.

Paul Kerangkas: The money said to have been banked in into the government's bank account might not come from the senior citizens. It might come from rich Umno leaders just to hoodwink the rakyat.

Penang Umno should list down the identities of those senior citizens who have returned the money on this website. Let all readers see them.

Louis: Of course, the person returning the money must provide their particulars. This will enable the state government to strike off their names so that they will not receive the money the following year and after.

It is Umno which is playing games. For all you know, no one returned the money and the 'haram' money returned could have been donated by some wealthy tycoons. RM26,000 is chicken feed to some of these tycoons, but negative advertisement on the state government is worth more than that paltry sum.

Fairnessforall: Umno claims 1,000 senior citizens returned the money, so whose pocket did the rest of the money go to? You have only banked in RM23,700, which is yet to be confirmed.

You claimed RM26,000 was brought in a bag to be returned, from this amount itself RM2,300 is missing. And if really 1,000 senior citizens returned the RM100, that should be RM100,000. Please give details on the rest of the money.

Blackknight: Since Penang Umno has descended to this point, may I suggest that they talk to their counterparts at the federal level to return all the money collected from kafirs like me because we earn this money from haram activities like interest, gambling, etc.

I understand that my taxes go into the general treasury and there is no distinction between my money and those from the morally upright Umno fellows. So how can the federal government use my money to build mosques, fund the education of Muslims and so forth?

Is it not despicable to even touch my taxes and that of others who have earned their money in similar fashion? I hope to get a big refund (financed by Umno I believe) from IRB (Inland Revenue Board) and the other agencies, like the Customs.

HisShamMoreDim_WhoSaid_On?: Umno should also insist that all Muslim directors resign from Tanjung, Genting, MultiPurpose Bhd, Dijaya, Berjaya and whole host of other haram listed companies. It should also make public the list of these directors so that they are pressured to resign.

Bluemountains: Penang Umno must insist that the federal government does not use tax collected from Toto, Magnum, Da Ma Cai, Genting, Carlsberg and all non-Muslims for the benefit of Muslims because it is against their religion. Let all such taxes be used solely for non-Muslims only.

Salleh calls for expulsion of Taib's foreign bomohs

Dood: What about calling in Jakim (Malaysian Islamic Development Department) to investigate these claims of alleged deviant Muslim practice? Or is Abdul Taib Mahmud untouchable because he is too powerful?

Or maybe it's because he's not a Muslim anymore? Oh, that can't be... perhaps we need to remand him so that he can recant and return to the Muslim fold.

And where's Perkasa and Umno/BN? They've always been keen to nip any behaviour that can be seen as insults to Islam. Isn't the use of bomoh considered to be such?

Docs: With the government push in the last few years to "Guna barang buatan Malaysia", I think its only appropriate that Taib hire local bomohs to advise him. In addition, I think it will be cheaper to hire Malaysian bomohs.

On the other hand, with the advise of his foreign bomohs, Taib did lead his party and BN to a resounding victory in the latest state elections despite major hurdles that BN had to face in that election (e.g, emerging and strong opposition, people's perception that Taib is plundering Sarawak dry, etc). So based on that, Taib money was well spent.
