ROS threatens to deregister PKR

AnakBangsaMalaysia: It is now clear that the Registrar of Societies (ROS) has - like so many other so-called 'public institutions' - seen fit to become the mercenary errand-boy of Najib Razak's Umno-BN regime.

We no longer trust the police, MACC, judiciary, AG's Chambers, Election Commission - who have all proven themselves time and again to be be nothing more than mindless and self-serving minions of Umno-BN.

Now we cannot even trust the Registrar of Societies. We should thank Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his ilk for setting in motion the corruption and destruction of Malaysia's once respected public institutions.

Ferdtan: ROS registrar Abdul Rahman Othman should be sacked for making the institution a laughing stock. On top of that he made a blunder in the name quoted by him. Umno don't need your help - in fact you are making Umno lose its face among all thinking Malaysians.

Nil: Umno does not exist - it was deregistered long ago. The ‘Umno' you see and hear today is really ‘Umno Baru', registered to replace the old ‘Umno' - an entirely different entity.

The members of Umno Baru are doing things in the guise and under the name of the non-existing Umno. Is the ROS going to deregister Umno Baru for its illegal activities?

Wira: I can predict the coming sequence of events.

1. PKR gets deregistered.

2. PKR files a writ in the High Court.

3. High Court reinstates the registration of the party.

4. ROS appeals and wins.

5. PKR is finally deregistered.

6. Meanwhile, Anwar goes to jail.

7. GE13 is called.

8. The end - for Malaysia.

Ttloo: Abdul Rahman should be ‘deregistered' first from ROS for making a blunder by threatening to deregister PKR with factual errors. Before commencing on any case, Abdul Rahman must verify all the details before issuing threatening letters.

Such a blunder is wasting the people's money and time. Over to you, KPI minister Koh Tsu Koon, for your appraisal of Abdul Rahman.

Anonymous_4031: ROS should not use any excuse to deregister PKR or any opposition party. Since PKR has already issued a circular that no member could flout the party's directive, it has every right to sack any errant member.

Look at Umno Baru and the old Umno. The old Umno was deregistered because of illegal divisions formed prior to party election.

Michael Angelo: Umno is really scrapping the barrel and pulling out all the stops to neutralise DSAI (Anwar Ibrahim) and PKR. Such acts of desperation does not look good for Umno.

First they try to entice PAS. Then they accuse and persecute DSAI. Then they say DAP is against Islam. Why is Umno so desperate? Can some NGO do a poll to see if Pakatan Rakyat will win the next GE13?

Not Confused: Don't you just feel the insecurity and panic infecting Umno-BN? To us, the right-thinking rakyat, it is clear as day - they are running scared and will try any dirty trick they can think up to cling to power.

It is so obvious, that it beggars belief that anyone should actually accept it. If they do, then they have some financial/corrupt practice to protect at all costs.

Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein and his gang are trying hard to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by alienating voters with their dirty tricks. Malaysians are to expose these filthy tricks of Umno and bring them to the attention of the public - especially to rural voters - in both Peninsular and Sabah and Sarawak.

Remember when radio listeners asked Najib whether he ever used public transport, he talked about riding his bicycle and did not answer the question directly?

Pemerhati: Anwar seems to have answered the questions well. Those critical of the short replies should remember that there were 2,000 people and only 75 minutes to answer the questions. The short time spent on each question allowed more people to ask a wider variety of questions.

Ace: There is no necessity to ask about the sex tape and the Omega watch. The whole thing is so obviously faked by the Umnoputras - the proof is in the deputy IGP saying that they will not reveal who the person is. That statement itself confirms that it is not Anwar.

If it is, the police would have revealed it within seconds and it would have been made headlines in Utusan Malaysia , New Straits Times , Star , etc, with another three pages in each paper devoted to the story for one week.

Anonymous_5fb: From the questions asked, we can see some pro-Umno supporters participated in the chat with Anwar, asking tough questions especially on the Datuk T trio video.

But this is a good way to engage the people openly and without restricting what questions can be asked or not to be asked. I missed the chance to participate this time around, if not, my questions to Anwar will be even tougher than the questions asked.

There should be more such 'live chat' session with politicians of both sides to promote the concept of 'transparency'.
