The High Court will hear tomorrow an application by a woman to have a second post-mortem conducted on her teenaged son who was allegedly shot by the police in Dengkil near Shah Alam last May 13.

Lawyer N Surendran, who represented Salmah Mohamed Shariff, 41, said the date was set by Senior Assistant Registrar Khairul Nizam Abu Bakar when the matter came up for case management today.

Last May 19, Salmah had filed a notice of motion to have a second post-mortem conducted on Mohamad Johari Abu Bakar, 17, which was now at Serdang Hospital, to find out the actual injuries suffered by her son.

She is seeking for a court order to have the post-mortem conducted immediately at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) to determine the cause of his death according to Section 328 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Salmah also wants all the reports and documents on the post-mortem on his son by UMMC and Serdang Hospital to be given to her lawyer.

In the May 13 incident, Mohamad Johari, a school drop-out and believed to be a member of a gang involved in stealing luxury cars, was shot in a shoot-out with the police near a hotel at Cyber Valley, Dengkil.
