Speculation rife Eskay to be charged today but...

Docs: Out of curiosity, so far, I have noticed that when it comes to BN politicians, only after severe public pressure do they get ‘charged' after committing a crime.

Once charged, they are immediately let off on bail. The Police are very cordial in arresting them. No handcuffs used. I presume nasi lemak and teh tarik kau kau are provided by the police during their questioning.

Their court cases tend to come up eons later and drag on till kingdom come until the public (which has a short memory span) forget about the incident. Finally, they will be cleared of all charges quietly.

For example, the PKFZ case - Ling Liong Sik was charged and the court proceeding should have started but suddenly the case is put on hold, while Dr Mohd Khir Toyo was charged but his case has yet to see the light of day in court.

I presume with Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, it will be the same: not-so-swift arrest, but the court case may only come up in 2020.

Disgusted: Eskay off to Bangkok? So could he be behind the release of the tapes on YouTube from Bangkok? After all, the tape had the imprint of its release in Bangkok.

The Datuk T trio said only they had the original copies and that they had handed it over to the police. Either they are lying or somebody in the police force leaked the tape to be posted on YouTube. Why still no action?

Ruben: By right, the Datuk T trio should have been charged a long time ago for screening the sex clip. Let me now guess what is going to happen: he will be charged for a minor offence, he will plead not guilty, the court will fix a date and it will be postponed, postponed again, and then forgotten.

Anak Malaysia: The whole of Malaysia is now assuming that Eskay is kebal (immune) and above the law. The attorney-general, the home minister and even the inspector-general of police are all seem to be afraid of Eskay.

It is very clear that the law has been broken, and kept broken by Eskay. But still the police and the AG clearly don't dare to take any action.

No top student will be left behind, says Nazri

How can the Public Service Department (PSD) resort to such acts only to be downplayed and protected by higher authority? The PSD officers, even its director-general, should be suspended and sacked if any irregularities or wrongdoings are established. Meantime, the brain drain continues. The lesson is never learnt.

20121221Disaster: Minister in the PM's Department Nazri Abdul Aziz is a master of hypocrisy. He blames Deputy Education Minister Wee Ka Siong for informing the public on the shortcomings of the PSD and exposing the weaknesses of Umno/BN government.

Nazri wants all government weaknesses to be swept under the carpet and that only those who make complaints be attended, while those who kept silent and weep helplessly because they do not know how to appeal, can be ignored.

Born In M'sia: Please, Nazri, the bright students are the future of this country and they deserve it. We must see to that they be allowed to develop in their areas of interest so that eventually the human capital of the nation can be enhanced.

You are just a servant, entrusted and employed to take care of the rakyat's money. So just carry out your job accordingly for the benefit of the future generation of this country.

Wira: It is much cheaper to retain talented Malaysians today by offering scholarships than to attract them to return to Malaysia after they have gained the relevant talents and skills overseas. Mediocrity breeds more mediocrity. This can be seen by the sheer stupidity of senior civil servants who mishandle PSD scholarships.

Bozuka: PSD scholarships should be free from race-based considerations and open to all Malaysians as long as they have performed well and are Malaysians. Can PSD publish the list of all recipients for the Malaysian society to digest?

Is PSD and the Umno government doing something through the back door in violation of the federal constitution which guarantees equal educational opportunity to all Malaysians irrespective of race?

The federal constitution says that any higher education institution which is fully sponsored by the government must be open to all Malaysians, and this include Mara colleges and Mara universities.

Thisia: Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz says this is merely confusion? A Malaysian top student with 12A+ who wanted to be a cardiologist applied for medical studies in Universiti Malaya but was offered a spot in a diploma-level veterinary programme in Universiti Putra Malaysia.

You call this confusion? I call this utter racism and stupidity.
