Police are tracing a man to assist investigation into the ‘red paint and pig head’ case near Masjid Sungai Bakap yesterday.

Penang police chief Ayub Yakcop said the man had earlier phoned a cendol seller and warned him to be careful.

“It is difficult to trace the man as he used a public telephone,” he told Bernama in Nibong Tebal today.

Ayub said police had recorded statement from several people including the cendol seller who said he did not owe money including from loansharks.

A cendol seller got a rude shock yesterday after finding his stall splashed with red paint while a pig head was found hanging from it.

Meanwhile, Nibong Tebal Umno Youth vice-chief Mohd Noor Azman Abdul Jalil today lodged a police report against blogger ‘Pejuang Pro Demokrasi’ for accusing Umno of being responsible for the incident.

“Umno Youth regrets what has been written and hopes that police will act against the blogger,” he said after lodging the report at Sungai Bakap police station today.
