Water dispute: Mahathir says S'pore will delay arbitration process

Singapore is likely to delay the arbitration process for settling its water dispute with Malaysia, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said today.

He said he believed that Singapore will delay it "because they are hoping that come 2011, then the agreement will expire."

According to a Bernama report, Mahathir also said that Malaysia would try to get the arbitration process going as soon as possible.
