The Shah Alam Sessions Court today postponed to June 10 to decide on whether the prosecution could tender the police report

lodged by Corporal Jenain Subi in the case involving the death of teenager Aminulrasyid Amzah, during the trial.

Judge Latifah Mohd Tahar set the date after being informed that Jenain could not be in court until tomorrow as he had been given sick leave for gout.

Jenain's bailiff, wife Siti Nuraniza Tamrin, 37, was at the court to hand over the medical certificate.

azlan The court had initially set today and tomorrow to continue hearing the case where Jenain had been ordered to enter his defence to causing the death of Aminulrasyid, 15, between 1.10am and 2am at Jalan Tarian 11/2 in Shah Alam on April 26, 2010.

Aminulrasyid died after he was hit by a bullet while trying to escape the police  during a high-speed chase here in the early hours of April 26 last year.

Jenain has been charged under Section 304 (a) of the Penal Code which carries up to 30 years jail and also can be fined, if convicted.

Deputy public prosecutors Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar, Idham Abd Ghani and Adilla Ahmad, appeared for the prosecution, while Jenain was represented by lawyers M Athimulan, Salim Bashir and Halim Ashgar Mohd Hilmi.

The issue on Jenain's police report arose after Athimulan objected to the prosecution's attempt to question Jenain on the report, which was lodged by the accused a few hours after the teenager was killed.

The prosecution claimed that Jenain's testimony in court was not consistent with his police report.
