Hostel warden's murder case postponed
The magistrate’s court in Kangar today postponed mention of the case of a religious school hostel warden accused of murdering Year One student Syazani Saiful Sopfidee in March, because the prosecution has yet to receive the post-mortem report.

Hanif Mohd Ali, 26, from Perak is accused of murdering the seven-year-old boy at Sekolah Rendah Islam Al-Furqan hostel warden's room here between 6pm and 12 midnight on March 31 this year.
He has been charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code which carries the mandatory death sentence, if convicted.
Magistrate Nurshahida Abd Rahim fixed July 22 as the new mention date.
Deputy public prosecutor Noor Syazwani Mohd Sabri appeared for the prosecution while the accused was represented by counsel Mohd Fikri Abd Rahman and Zulmi Sabri.
