Kedah Barisan Nasional (BN) is to hold a state BN convention on Sept 24, which is expected to be attended by more than 15,000 members of the component parties.  

Kedah BN chairperson Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah said today various issues would be discussed at the convention, including preparations for the next general election.

He also said that a meeting of the Kedah BN held last night approved the setting up of a task force to coordinate the management of issues among the component parties.

The task force would be led by Kedah BN secretary Md Rozai Safian, he said in a statement.

Ahmad Bashah said the convention would be held at the multipurpose hall of the Mu’adzam Shah Complex in Anak Bukit, Alor Setar.

The Kedah BN Aidilfitri open house would also be held then, he added.
