Kedah police chief Ahmad Ibrahim said the first arrest took place in a shop house at Taman Nuri, where the six, including two Bangladeshis and three women, were arrested.
They were suspected of being involved in the printing of Bersih T-shirts. A total of 150 T-shirts were found at the scene.
"We confiscated the T-shirts before it can be distributed to the public. We also confiscated three printing blocks used to print the T-shirts," said Ahmad, according to Bernama.
Ahmad adds that the two foreigners did not possess valid travel documents and the owner of the premise has yet to be located.
Meanwhile, the middle-aged couple were arrested along the Jalan Kubang Rotan-Kuala Kedah road near Alor Setar. They were in possession of five Bersih T-shirts.
Kota Setar district police chief Adzaman Mohd Jan said the duo were arrested on Saturday at 9.05pm at a roadblock.
"I am made to understand that they are husband and wife. They were arrested according to the Societies Act 1966," he said when contacted by Bernama today.
