Several pieces of evidence, including toothpicks, were found in the BMX X5 belonging to cosmetics millionaire Sosilawati Lawiya at the Angsana Flat car park in Subang Jaya, the High Court in Shah Alam was told today.

Chief Inspector Mazli Jusoh @ Che Kob of the Forensic Unit of the Selangor police said he went to the location at about 10.30pm on Sept 6, 2010 on the instructions of investigating officer ASP Ishak Yaakob.

He found the car, within police yellow lines, without a key in a wet and dirty condition, he said during the cross examination in chief by deputy public prosecutor Saiful Edris Zainuddin.

The 25th prosecution witness was testifying in the trial of former lawyer N Pathmanabhan and estate workers T Thilaiyagan, R Matan and R Khatavarayan on a charge of murdering Sosilawati, 47, bank officer Noorhisham Mohamad, 38, lawyer Ahmad Kamil Abdul Karim, 32, and Sosilawati’s driver, Kamaruddin Shamsuddin, 44, in Jalan Tanjong Layang, Tanjung Sepat, Banting, between 8.30pm and 9.45pm on Aug 30, 2010.

Pathmanabhan, 42, Thilaiyagan, 20, Matan, 21, and Khatavarayan, 31, are charged under Section 302 of the Penal code read together with Section 34 which carries a mandatory death sentence.

Mazli said that he found two bunches of keys, one of which had the letter P, and two toothpicks at the water bottle holder beside the passenger seat.

He also found two finger prints, one on the inside handle of the driver’s door and the other on the box between the two front seats.

He also found a strand of hair on a seat of the car.

The hearing before judge Akhtar Tahir continues tomorrow.
