Terengganu students in Egypt were among hundreds of Malaysians who participated in an assembly in Cairo last Saturday, said Yayasan Terengganu director Aziz Mamat.

NONE He said pictures of them wearing T-shirts emblazoned with the word ‘Bersih’ and holding the assembly at the compound of a university in Cairo had been posted on Facebook .    

Some of them were also holding the Terengganu flag, he told reporters in Kuala Terengganu today.

NONE He said that he was still waiting for a report on the matter from the foundation’s officers in Cairo and the Malaysian Students Department before further action was taken against the students involved.   

He added that among the action that could be taken was terminating the education loans extended to students who participated in the illegal rally.
