PSM 6 muzzled, yet Ibrahim Ali free to bark

vox populi small thumbnail 'Instead of arresting Ibrahim ‘Katak' Ali for his seditious and racially divisive statements, the police detained Dr Jeyakumar and five others.'

Ibrahim Ali proud to be 'Malay dinosaur'

Anak Malaysia: Sudahlah , Ibrahim Ali. Every word you utter and every argument you throw up are all devoid of reasoning and sense.

You don't even understand why you are called a dinosaur. You are like an empty gong, resounding loudly because of its emptiness inside. We are really getting tired of listening to your tirades. You make no contribution to this country. Rather you are a destructive force our country does not need.

I just wish the online media will stop giving Ibrahim Ali coverage. He seriously does not deserve any attention. See how loud he barked before the Bersih rally and yet how docile and quiet he suddenly became whilst tens of thousands risked their lives to march for a just cause.

Paul Warren: Ibrahim Ali, by agreeing that he is a dinasaur willing to die to protect the Malays, only shows how stupid and suicidal he really can be. Any Malay with an ounce of brains would abandon Ali in a second lest they be extinguished like the dinosaurs.

Anonymous_3f4b: Instead of arresting Pasir Mas MP Ibrahim ‘Katak' Ali for his seditious and racially divisive statements, the poodle dogs of Polis diRaja Malaysia (PDRM) went on to arrest Sungai Siput MP Dr Michael Jeyakumar and have him and five others detained indefinitely without trial under an obsolete and archaic law.

Why The Star's Wong Chun Wai did not comment on the unfair and arbitrary arrest of Dr Jeyakumar and friends if he is so concern about listening to the rakyat?

JBGUY: Ibrahim Ali is a disgrace to all Malaysians. He should be arrested for sedition and the home minister should resign for being unable to take action against him.

Most Malays know that he is a self-serving politician who only cares about his own pockets. He does not have the stature nor credibility to talk about Lim Kit Siang, Karpal Singh or Nik Aziz Nik Mat. They are truly icons who have slogged for the rakyat.

Rayfire: Ibrahim Ali, even after the trashing you get due to your absence on July 9 and the overwhelming support Bersih got despite your rhetoric and warnings of massacre, you never learned.

You don't deserve a second thought for your foolishness and for misleading your followers on the path which is against your religious teaching. I hope God will teach you a lesson in the near future. Enjoy your freedom while you can as this dinosaur is going to be extinct soon.

SusahKes: I have neither respect for Wong Chun Wai (WCW) nor Ibrahim Ali, They represent subservience to a failing and corrupt regime. I see them more as men who are clutching on to straws, trying to convince whatever little that is left of their audience, that Umno/BN is the still way to go.

I don't entirely agree with WCW that Ibrahim is a dinosaur; at least, dinosaurs are not made up of cowardly creatures that hide behind some other larger creatures while breathing phony threats. Ibrahim did just that when he failed to show up on July 9.

It's plain and simple - Wong Chun Wai, his coterie of Star journalists and Ibrahim Ali are mere cowards. Instead of embracing the way forward to a brand new Malaysia, they are content to ensure that their personal rice bowl gets taken care of first before anything and everything else.

Anonymous: A case of pot calling the kettle black? I dare WCW to call MCA chief Dr Chua Soi Lek and deputy chief Liow Tiong Lai dinosaurs. Or perhaps, he doesn't have to go that far back - just call them ostriches.

Both leaders are trying to cover up the police actions at Tung Shin Hospital as though Malaysians only read MSM (mainstream media) and watch RTM and TV3. To them, the protesters are invisible and their experiences don't count.

Keturunan Malaysia: Some quite a while back, while sitting in a kopitiam with a group of friends, one of my Malay brothers asked me what I thought of Utusan Malaysia ?

I just smiled. After a lull, he repeated the question. I stood up, went a couple of shops away, bought a copy of Utusan and came back to the kopitiam. My friend grinned and said he was sorry for asking. I told him I was not angry, but only wanted to honestly tell him what I thought of Utusan .

I then unfolded the newspaper and laid it on the floor, sheet by sheet - from the table we were siting to the toilet. I then stepped on the papers each step of the way to the toilet, peed and returned back the same way to the table.

I later called the kopitiam boy to pick up and bin the papers and gave him a RM10 tip. Many customers laughed and some even clapped... though a few were ill at ease.

PAS Titiwangsa MP Dr Lo' Lo' passes away

Multi Racial: Titiwangsa MP Dr Lo' Lo' Mohd Ghazali was part of the new generation of PAS leaders who won praises from all races. Although this was her first term, she had made her present felt. It is unfortunate that she had to leave us, and my condolences to her family. May her soul rest in peace.

A Selangor Voter: Dr Lo' Lo', I am truly sad. Fifty-four is too young. You are leaving us and Malaysia too soon. There is much to be done and we sorely need a great leader like you. You have lived a good life and you are going to a much better place.

The great Allah will take care of you. My prayers for your loved ones who have lost you.

Ferdtan: It is not important how long one lives - but what we did during the short time that was given to us.

We are sure that Dr Lo' Lo' had fulfilled more than her share of good deeds while she was with us. We pray to God to take good care of her in the thereafter. My condolences to her family.

Ruben: Dr Lo' Lo' was a true patriot and admired for her leadership, intelligence, simpleness and last but not least, looking after the interests of all her constituents in Titiwangsa.

I pray that God grants you your rightful place in Heaven. Thank you for all that you have done.

Baiyuensheng: On to a quiet place and get some well-deserved rest.
