Several Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) Berhad train services have been disrupted and rescheduled since 1.13 this morning due to a Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) cable falling across the tracks at KM375.721 of the Kuang–Rawang–Kuang route.

According to KTMB's statement today, the 33kv electric cable broke and fell on several cables which supplied electricity to the KTM Komuter.

Due to the incident, the following services have been rescheduled:

*Rawang KTM Komuter–Sungai Gadut will start from Sungai Buloh station. Passengers from Rawang will be ferried by bus to the Sungai Buloh station.

*Langkawi Express (Padang Besar–KL Sentral) will end at Rawang station. Passengers will go on to KL Sentral by bus.

*Ekspres Senandung Mutiara (Butterworth–KL Sentral) will end at Rawang station. Passengers will go on to KL Sentral by bus.

*Ekspres Sinaran Mutiara (KL Sentral-Butterworth) is cancelled because KTMB is still working on clearing the obstruction.

*ETS from Ipoh will end at Rawang station and passengers will be transferred to Sungai Buloh station by bus and proceed to their destinations from there.

*ETS from KL Sentral and Seremban will end at Rawang station and passengers will be transferred to Sungai Buloh station by bus and proceed to their destinations from there.

*There will be no KTM Cargo services until the tracks are cleared.

Works are in progress to repair the tracks, and KTMB is unable to determine the completion time but will issue updates from time to time.

Passengers of the cancelled services may either obtain a refund or reschedule their journey.

Meanwhile, all train services which were disrupted have been restored as of 10.30am, said KTMB in a statement later today.

There were no casualties in the incident, said KTMB.

The temporary feeder bus services for the stranded passengers of the KTM Komuter, KTM Intercity and Electric Train Service (ETS) have therefore been stopped.
