The Pahang government has set aside RM23 million to improve infrastructure facilities in Orang Asli settlements and villages in the state.

State rural development and Orang Asli affairs committee chairperson Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the projects, which included telecommunication facilities, would be carried out in stages.

"The Orang Asli are not left out, but implementation of the projects has to be carried out in stages as their villages are mostly in the interior areas," he said at a meeting with the Orang Asli in Bentong.

On electricity and water supply, Wan Rosdy said most of the Orang Asli settlements and villages in the state already had the facility.
