Beginning July 25, Employees Provident Fund (EPF) account holders were allowed to withdraw their savings in account 1 every three months to invest in the Amanah Saham 1Malaysia (AS 1Malaysia) fund.

The AS 1Malaysia, an all-Malaysian unit trust fund managed by Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), is now listed under the EPF members investment scheme.

In a statement today, Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) said the withdrawal amount was subject to the account holder maintaining a minimum savings level as specified for their age group by the EPF.

It said there was no maximum limit imposed on the number of units to be subscribed by investors.

AS 1Malaysia has a total fund size of 10 billion units, with 50 percent allocated for bumiputeras; 30 percent for Chinese; 15 percent for Indians; and five percent for other Malaysians.

The allocation reserved for the Chinese has been fully subscribed.

AS 1Malaysia is the sixth unit trust fund managed by ASNB listed under the EPF members investment scheme after Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020, Amanah Saham Didik, Amanah Saham Gemilang, Amanah Saham Nasional 2, and Amanah Saham Nasional 3 Imbang.
