Traffic volume on the North-South Expressway was increasingly heavier this evening as more motorists made their way back to their hometowns and villages to celebrate Aidilfitri.

Traffic was at a snail's pace at certain sections of the expressway, according to a Plus Control Centre officer.
Traffic was slow going south from Nilai to Seremban and heading north from Senai to Kulai in Johor, he told Bernama.
Meanwhile, Plus through its Twitter service at 4.11pm reported that traffic was slow from Tapah heading north to Gua Tempurung in Perak.
It also reported two accidents, one at the Sungai Besi toll plaza at 4.28pm and the other at Km275.2 south-bound from Nilai to Seremban at 3.24pm.
However, there were no closure of lanes, it said.
