Chief Minister Musa Aman has taken note of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) information chief Johnny Mositun's call to the Election Commission (EC) to consider creating one or two more parlimentary constituencies and between four and six new state seats between Papar and Sipitang.

"The matter will be discussed in due course," he said after visiting the state-level Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house site at the Likas sports complex in Kota Kinabalu today.

Musa, who is also State BN chairperson, declined further comment.

At the PBS Klias division annual meeting yesterday, Mositun was quoted as saying that the call was made in view of rapid infrastructural development, economic growth and population increase in the west coast of the state.

He had said this would not only provide for more effective and efficient political representation for the people but also lighten the heavy workload and responsibilities of elected representatives.

Meanwhile, Musa and his Muslim Cabinet members extended an invitation to all to attend this year's state-level Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at the complex on the second day of Hari Raya.
